Spring is Near
I'm reading my new qigong book, The Way Of Qigong, and it talked about how farmers’ prune their crops to keep them healthy. It reminded me of the time I learned from my mom that when a plant has dead leaves still attached, it sends all its energy to it to heal. But when you properly cut it off, it then can use its energy and redirect it to grow and further flourish.
Coincidentally, as I was writing this a few days ago, I awoke to my plant leaf having fallen off itself. It was sad to see especially since this leaf had basically bloomed from nothing. It then grew and created 13 other leaves. It is so sad and emotional to see the original leaf fall away quietly, and yet so poetic to see how much life it gave.
Just the other day I was on the phone with my grandma and I realized my big family of ~40 all started from her and her womb. I am forever grateful for the life she gave me, my mom, my family, and all those around us. Life can truly be so poetically beautiful when you take a closer look.
This year they say the Year of the Horse moves quickly in timelines and results. I can certainly agree upon reflecting the past couple months.
My good habits — Solidcore, centering in the mornings, daily mantra, and frequency awareness— have helped deepen my presence and my relationship with myself. I am so grateful for my self love.
My habits that I need to work better on are tracking my expenses more thoroughly and getting a better sleep schedule/nighttime routine. When I cut off these "bad" habits by improving them, the Qi or life-force has a way of creating space to grow.
Spring is coming. Just this evening, I saw a Finch scouting for a good location to build a nest. And this past weekend, I found a clover when I was shoveling snow.
Have you noticed any habits compounding quickly for you? Any seeds you'd like to plant to grow and blossom during the Spring? Any ideas that you want to breathe life into?
